My mate and I were inspired by a video from Dan Koe, ironically, a very long one. We had to spend hours watching it just to figure out whether it was actually relevant to me. That sparked a simple question: why can’t preview the key ideas first, then decide what’s worth my time? When we looked for solutions, a few tools existed, but none really solved the problem: • Google NotebookLM gives great summaries, but you can’t trace insights back to exact moments in the video • It doesn’t support platforms like Bilibili, which I (and many others) use heavily • Most tools focus on transcripts or summaries, not helping you jump directly to what matters So we built Searchables to solve this layer: helping you quickly understand what a video actually contains, and navigate it with precision. We’re still working through challenges, like improving transcription accuracy, scaling long video parsing efficiently, and ultimately helping users turn video content into their own knowledge assets. That learning transformation is what we care about most.
