ScreenGlimpse highlights your cursor and zooms in on every click automatically, so a quick recording looks directed instead of just captured. Everything happens on your device — no upload, no account required to start. Free to use, with Windows, macOS, Linux, and web versions.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built ScreenGlimpse because I record a lot of quick demos and bug reports, and I was tired of two things: recordings that don't show where I clicked (so I end up narrating "click the button in the top right, the small one"), and tools that quietly upload everything to their cloud the moment you stop recording.
ScreenGlimpse does one thing: it highlights your cursor and zooms in automatically every time you click, live while you record — no editing pass afterward. Everything happens on your device. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to send the file yourself.
Free tier (Glimpse) is unlimited local recordings at 720p, no account needed. Focus tier ($7/mo or $70/yr) unlocks 4K and removes the watermark, and Forever ($130 once) if you'd rather not subscribe to anything.
Windows, macOS, Linux, and a browser version if you just want to try it without installing anything: https://screenglimpse.com
Would love feedback, especially from anyone who's used Loom/Screen Studio/Camtasia and hit friction with the cloud/subscription side of things.
Love that the cursor zoom happens on every click automatically, not as some manual toggle you have to remember. The whole "open it and it just works" thing with no account is honestly the kind of friction-free design more tools should aim for.
Been looking for something like this, the auto zoom on click is a really nice touch for quick demos. One thing that would make it even better is letting users draw or annotate on the recording after capturing, right inside the app, so you don't have to bounce to another tool just to circle a button or point out a bug.
@doukanywb5 Nice suggestion. We will implement it in upcoming releases..
Finally something that makes my screen recordings actually watchable. The auto zoom on clicks is a nice touch, especially since everything stays local.
@ngultask74445 glad you like it. Surely a good addition for your recordings..
The automatic cursor highlight on click is such a thoughtful touch for quick recordings, makes everything look polished without any extra editing.
@berrazwqi Simplicity is our target, while giving the essential features as free offerings which no other tool is giving
