There is a real need to "disconnect" and be able to read without being constantly monitored and sold-to. My biggest hope is that your data-privacy policies and practices protect your users (which I hope to be one!).

@robert_thelen Rest assured that we do want protect the best interest of all stakeholders involved. We are still in beta and wearing many different hats, but we will address all concerns to the best of our abilities

@yorgos_kats awesome!
Chrysothemis Paraskevopoulou
Hi community! I am Chrysothemis and I am a University Professor. I am an early adopter of @Screenbreak and I have to say that finally I found a service that levels up my reading experience without having to sacrifice another hour looking at my computer screen! The best thing is that I have now my own collections in a friendly book-format that I can take with me and read at the park. Highly recommended!

@chrysothemis_paraskevopoulou Thanks for your support and we need to figure out ways to better support students with their learning mission!

Maybe an option to not have images from articles included?
Yorgos Katsouris
@jeremiahcornish Definitely, will be there before full release!
Nikos Nikalexis
@jeremiahcornish also fonts (size / style) and book size options will be added. will those be useful too? anything else in your mind?
Joel John
@jeremiahcornish @nikalexis Was going to ask for this - ability to remove the images and make the font/formatting optional. I love the product btw. Although a bit wary of the limits.
Yorgos Katsouris
@joel_john95 Hi Joel, what are you concerns/thoughts re limits?
Yorgos Katsouris
👋 PH This is Yorgos, co-founder of Screenbreak. Being locked down during March (v1) with plenty of time in my hands, I clearly noticed a problem that I faced and also felt passionate about tackling. - Excessive screen time in my day-to-day - Diminishing attention spans It was consistently tough to properly read quality longform content online. From screen related tiredness to having ads and notifications pop up and demand a share of my attention, my focus was compromised. Long story short, I wanted to read longform content that lives online (and there is a ton of high quality out there), in an inherent offline medium, paper :) Fast forward 7 months now, we are introducing to the PH community (https://myscreenbreak.com) We transform the online articles you really want to read into a format that's designed for paper. Our online service will remain free for testing until the end of the year and we just recently opened a limited test run for the paperback service. Looking forward to testing it out and hearing your thoughts :)

@yorgos_kats This is super cool. I think you and me might have very similar missions. Though different targets. We've built sendmemo.app and are trying to reduce the distractions around email/slack and all that jazz. I tried finding a contact for you to reach out but no luck. If you want to connect please do message me at. https://sendmemo.app/peter

@iam_maheshkumar Any UI/UX proposals? :-)

I was literally thinking about how useful this would be yesterday! I'd use this often to turn e-books/whitepapers into physical books. Great idea and can't wait to see the final iteration 🔥
Yorgos Katsouris
@bentheredonethat Thanks Ben, you can start using it even today. Try it out and let me know what you think/how I can help :)
