👋 Hey Product Hunt! I'm Landon, the lead engineer for Scanerr. We began working on Scanerr to help our fellow developers understand how their sites and web apps change after deployments. The platform specifically aims to discover the small differences a human might otherwise miss by painstakingly comparing Megabytes of data collected on each site. How it works: 1. Scans: Scanerr works by grabbing and storing snapshots of your site called "Scans". Each Scan consists of your Site's HTML, Screenshots, Console Errors & Warnings, and various other web metrics. 2. Tests: (Where the magic happens) In order to understand the differences between two Scans, Scanerr uses all kinds of cool math to compare and organize the data. Then, Scanerr wraps it all up into a nice neat composite score to help you understand how (and why) your Site changed. 3. Other cool stuff: Scanerr also includes some rich features like Schedules, Reports, and custom Automations (sending alerts, webhooks, & posting in slack). Who uses Scanerr: We're fortunate to serve companies of all sizes. From the enterprise to the startup, Scanerr is constantly helping developers and teams uncover bugs, bottlenecks, and breaking changes to their web apps. Because Scanerr has an Open API, dev teams often build their own custom integrations with the platform; CI/CD pipelines, Web Metric Dashboards, and Customer Reports are some common use cases. What the future holds: A lot. Improvements to our custom Visual Regression Testing, global Schedules and Automations, Integrated Unit Testing, and other nerdy dev stuff.
