Hello Partner is the only AI assistant you can trust with your secrets. Private, personal, and powerful. It runs completely offline on Apple Silicon, so your data never touches the cloud.

Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I built Sal because I was incredibly frustrated by the current state of AI. Every major assistant felt like a faceless corporate utility that demanded a monthly subscription, logged my conversations on a remote server, and used my data to train future models. I wanted a true partner, not a website.
So, I built HelloPartner.ai.
Sal is a completely private, offline-only AI assistant that runs natively on your Mac's Apple Silicon. Because the model actually lives on your hard drive, your data never leaves your machine. No telemetry, no cloud inference, no subscriptions. You buy it once, and you own the intelligence forever.
💻 Runs 100% locally on Apple M-Series Macs 🔒 Absolute privacy (works on an airplane without Wi-Fi) 🖼️ Native vision capabilities (both image understanding and generation) 📅 Syncs seamlessly with Apple Calendar and Reminders locally
I'd love to know what features you all consider "mandatory" for an offline, local assistant! Drop your thoughts below—we are actively building the Beta right now.

Hi, I just wanted to share a few thoughts on Sal after using it for a couple weeks.
I've been canceling one of my monthly AI subscriptions because I can just use Sal instead. Since it runs locally on my Mac, theres no recurring fee and I dont feel like im paying for features I dont actually use.
Privacy was a big deal for me. I work with sensitive documents all the time and could not allow data to leave my computer. Sal runs entirely locally so I feel comfortable pasting in client info or internal documents without worrying about it going to a cloud server.
Ease of use is also different from the normal chat apps like ChatGPT or Gemini. Instead of opening a separate browser tab, Sal is integrated into macOS so she feels like she is just always present. You can bring her up with the option-space bar and whatever context you have open gets passed to her. It feels less like using a tool and more like having an assistant who is just there when you need her.
There is a small learning curve at first with how she handles pinned documents and shortcuts, but once you get the hang of it, she becomes part of your workflow rather than something extra you have to manage.
Would recommend if you are on a Mac and want AI that actually fits into your day instead of being another tab to open.

I previously ran OpenClaw locally on my Mac, but deleted it due to the inherent risks of installing third-party Skills. For anyone who values their system's integrity, Sal is the 'grown-up' version—delivering the same autonomous power but safely. Sal's capabilities are impressive, but what really sold me was how she earned my trust. Many autonomous agents (OpenClaw included) still sneak in external API calls, so I tested Sal by monitoring my network traffic while prompting her. Zero activity. Even with Wi-Fi enabled, I deliberately gave her opportunities to phone home and she didn't. Like many, AI has become embedded into my daily workflow, so privacy is something I think about a lot. Do I still use the Big 3? Sure. But Sal is the only AI assistant I trust with full disk access. Solid execution by HelloPartner.ai—this is exactly what the on-device AI space needs right now.
