I used Linkeddit to read what creators were saying on Reddit about AI video editors before building Rushilo. The same complaints kept coming up: credits on top of a subscription, and no way to see or undo what the AI changed. Those became the two things Rushilo was built to fix.

Rushilo was built almost entirely with Claude Code, and it's also the main agent Rushilo is made for. It handles a big Electron and TypeScript codebase without losing the thread, runs the test suite itself, and works in the terminal next to everything else. Building with it daily is also how I learned what an agent needs from an editor: clear tools, a visible result and an easy undo.
