As a total novice to crypto investing, I am wondering how much transactactional value is actually required to go into the account on a weekly basis to really make a difference? If I imagine I have $30 of spare change that goes into the account - will that really be enough to do anything?

This looks super interesting for people who want to start passive investing without facing too much risk. I’ll give this a try.

Let's be clear, RoundlyX does not actually deliver on what they are advertising. There are much better methods to set up DCA. First, RoundlyX is not actually rounding up your purchases, but doing it over a month and then processing a bulk transaction. For most, this is likely manageable, but it isn't a true round-up service. It could get some people in a bad place if they aren't monitoring their balances. Secondly, and this is more of a problem, they aren't just rounding up purchases, but deposits as well. I have direct deposit, and they round this up. How does that work? How can you "round up" money that I am receiving. The first issue is understandable. They don't really want to be paying for all of those micro-transactions. The second issue though is just shoddy, lazy, incompetent programming. I will see how this goes, but in the end, I will likely ditch RoundlyX as a gimmick with subpar programmers and not enough knowledge or experience to do this right.

Dollar cost averaging every day is the best way to get started in crypto, whether you care about Bitcoin first, or just want exposure to other cryptocurrencies. Not a big fan of products like this. Way too much intrusion into my personal finances, and it's fundamentally antithetical to the notion of why Bitcoin as created in the first place. Furthermore, I think message around with all the other coins is just a distraction. Why round up your spare change and then spread it across multiple correlated assets? It's ridiculous.
