Hiring is broken. Companies drown in resumes. Candidates get ghosted. Everyone wastes weeks on the wrong people. Rothr fixes both sides. → AI runs the interview → Scores every candidate in real time → Shortlist ready in minutes — not hours, days or weeks → Every candidate gets instant feedback No recruiter. No scheduling. No ghosting. Set up in 2 minutes. First interview today. Rothr closes the loop. Fast for companies. Fair for candidates. Built for founders
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I want to tell you exactly why I built this.
A few weeks ago I saw a recruiter post on LinkedIn. She was completely underwater. 400 applications for one role. Six other open positions. Hadn't eaten lunch. And at the end of the post she wrote:
"I genuinely want to give everyone a fair shot. I just don't have enough hours."
That line stopped me.
Because she's not the villain. She's a person trying to do right by candidates — and the math makes it impossible. 400 applications. One human. 8 hour day. If she spends 6 seconds on every resume she's done in 40 minutes — and she still has six other roles, interviews to schedule, and offers to close.
Ghosting isn't laziness. It's math.
And on the other end of those 400 applications are 400 real people. Refreshing their inbox. Some of them really need that job. All of them put in real effort. Most of them will never hear back.
Nobody wins. Not the recruiter. Not the candidate. Not the company that ends up making a rushed hire just to close the role.
So I built Rothr.
→ AI runs the video interview — asks questions, pushes back on vague answers, scores in real time
→ Shortlist ready in hours — recruiter gets her lunch break back
→ Every candidate sees their score the moment it ends — no waiting, no silence, no black hole
That last part is what makes Rothr different from everything else out there. Every other tool automates the interview but still ghosts the candidate. The black hole just moves one step later in the process.
We close the loop.
Fast for companies. Fair for candidates.

This really hit - especially the “ghosting is math” framing. It’s rare to see someone articulate the recruiter side this clearly.
From a technical perspective, I like how you’re closing the loop for candidates — that’s the part most tools ignore.
One thing I’m curious about: How are you thinking about calibrating fairness in the scoring?
For example, balancing: – consistency (so recruiters can trust the signal) – vs adaptability (different roles, communication styles, backgrounds)
Feels like that layer is where a lot of long-term differentiation could live, especially if the system keeps learning from outcomes.
Really interesting direction — would love to see how this evolves.

@david_wang39 If you see currently in Rothr the scoring engine is high in benchmark compared to other tools. The Rothr and how it works (User-created role » add competency rubric » Weightage % » Add question ). This sets guardrails for scoring which means Rubric-Based Evaluation. Secondly, as Rothr moves forward, we're upgrading the intelligence level layer of the AI recruiter based on the seniority level. Stay connected for updates and really appreciate your thought...
