Rivlet is a free download manager for Windows 11 — no ads, no telemetry, no subscription. It splits each file across a number of connections so big downloads finish a lot faster. Connect Chrome or Edge once, and it grabs your downloads in one click, including full-res video, with control over quality and where files save. Categories, queues, pause/resume, and proper light and dark themes keep everything tidy. Fast like IDM, minus the 2005 interface.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I've used IDM for something like 20 years. It's fast—but it looks stuck in 2005, and it never stops nagging you. So I finally built the download manager I actually wanted: Rivlet.
What it does:
Fast. It splits each file across a number of connections and stitches it back together, so big downloads finish way quicker.
One-click browser capture. Connect Chrome or Edge once, and Rivlet grabs your downloads as you click—including full-res video, with control over quality and where it saves.
Actually organized. Categories, queues, pause/resume, and a clean view of what's downloading, how fast, and how long is left.
Built for Windows 11. Real light and dark themes, plus density, text size, and accessibility options.
Free. No ads, no telemetry, no throttling, no subscriptions. For real.
Free download for Windows 10 & 11 at rivlet.pro.
I'd love to hear what you'd change—what's the one thing your current download manager gets wrong? I'll be around all day.

Honestly the multi-connection splitting sounds great, would love to see browser integration for Firefox too since that's still a lot of people's daily driver.
The split-connection approach for big files is genuinely useful, especially with the browser integration baked in. One thing that would make it a daily driver for me: per-host speed caps or schedules, so a few large downloads don't saturate the connection while I'm trying to do a video call or play something online.
Nice work, the multi-connection speedup and clean dark UI are exactly what I wanted from a download manager. One thing I'd love is a built-in mirror picker so I can pre-load a few mirror links for a file and have Rivlet automatically pick the fastest one.
Really glad something like this exists without all the junk. One thing I'd love to see is a built-in video sniffer that also works on sites beyond the browser, or at least support for Firefox so the extension isn't locked to just Chromium browsers. Would round out an already solid tool nicely.
Genuinely refreshing to see something like this on Windows 11. The browser integration sounds well thought out, and the categories + queue setup is exactly what I want from a download manager. One thing I'd love: a per-site speed limit or schedule so I can throttle bandwidth at night and let downloads rip during the day without babysitting anything.
finally someone shipped a download manager that doesn't look like it crawled out of 2005. the dark theme actually looks intentional, which is rarer than it should be.
