Hola, this is Yash here, and I love avocados. What I don't love is cutting open an avocado and finding out it's still unripe. This is what happened to me last week. I had to throw away the avocado. I don't like wasting food. That's why I built RipeOrNot. It uses a custom-trained computer vision model (1000's of images of ripe/unripe avocados) to help you decide whether the avocado is ripe or not. I encountered a problem, and I couldn't resist not building this out. So glad to have it out there finally. Appreciate any and all feedback. P.S. I would love to know if anyone here is in the "I-eat-my-avocados-raw-gang." I am certainly not - I need my guac.

@aditya_mohanty @10xmarketer The model is trained primarily on the Hass variety (95% of the total avocados consumed are Hass), but it works well with other varieties. Coming to the condition - this is determined primarily based on the exterior color.

@kingromstar Correct, I did try it out initially - wasn't very accurate. RipeOrNot’s model is fine tuned for this exact use case - it won’t do a very good job at writing content for the same reason.
