Hi guys. This is our first product! Double taps can be a real pain, but it is not as simple as this, there is as in most cases a story behind it: Separate taps were originally designed for filling up the sink with a mix of cold and hot water and thus allowing to bathe one's hands in it, a rather unhygienic and time-consuming activity in contemporary, fast-paced world. Nowadays, most people simply turn on both taps and switch between the two water streams constantly. However, a lot of water gets wasted compared with a mixer tap with one stream of lukewarm water. The real problem is that those who are typically most annoyed with double taps, namely internationals, stay at hotels or live in rented accommodation where replacing the taps is not an option. Hence, people resolved to all kinds of DIY solutions. The most popular one, a plastic bottle with holes, appears as one of the first results when you google “separate taps solution”.
