I am the founder of Renewables.org, the non-profit investing site I am building with one of Kiva.org creators. To make a long story short, we are adapting the Kiva model of global development through micro finance crowdfunding for Global South solar. Renewables.org is the online solar investing non-profit that allows anyone to accelerate the climate transition in the Global South. In minutes, you can purchase solar Panels where they do the most good. For as little as $25, Renewables.org is one of the most cost effective ways to create climate impact. We've already launched a great product, attracted hundreds of users, and now we are fundraising so we can professionalize and scale our organization. To date, we've had support from the Yale School of Management and TrueVentures.org.

There is no easier way to support solar development than renewables.org - period. They do all the work behind the scenes, allowing us the ease of lending money with zero headaches. The interface is very clear, the repayments have been coming in steady for the last four months, so I have full confidence in the continuity of this excellent effort. You can see where the money's being invested around the world and how the electricity will be used. With every additional panel I buy, the more satisfied I am with having helped. Bravo to Lassor & team 🙌

Congratulations on the launch of Renewables.org, it's amazing to see the impact you are making in accelerating the climate transition in the Global South through solar investing. The concept of applying the Kiva model to support renewable energy projects is truly inspiring. As you continue to scale your organization, I'm curious to know how you plan to measure the long-term impact and sustainability of the solar panels installed. Best of luck with your fundraising efforts and future endeavors!
