Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Jean-Baptiste, a solo developer, and I made Rekkos because the best recommendation I get still comes from a friend who knows me — not from an algorithm optimized to keep me scrolling. Rekkos is deliberately small and private. You create circles for family, friends or fellow movie fans, recommend a film or series with a personal note, and keep your own watchlist and ratings. There is no public feed, no follower count and no advertising. The privacy model matters to me: I don't run a server that stores your library. Lists, ratings, circles and recommendations sync through your own iCloud using CloudKit. Sign in with Apple means no email or phone number, and there are no third-party trackers. The app is native on iPhone and iPad, with an Apple TV companion so you can see what your circle is watching on the big screen. The free tier is usable on its own; Premium lifts the limits and adds additional features. Small naming note: the US App Store lists the app as Rekkos; after installation, the app name is Rekko.
