Focus on ideas not syntax

Reify is an AI-native LaTeX editor that removes the pain of technical writing. It auto-fixes compile errors, generates full project templates, and lets you add tables, figures, math, and citations using natural language. Upload images or notes and Reify converts them into clean LaTeX. A faster, smarter workflow for students, researchers, and engineers who want LaTeX without the friction.

Hey Product Hunt I’m Hans, 19, and I built Reify because I was tired of losing hours to LaTeX errors instead of actually writing.

The idea came after a Saturday in the library where I spent the whole day fighting a lab report and did almost no original thinking. I wanted an editor that feels alive; one that understands the project, fixes issues automatically, and lets me focus on ideas, not syntax.

Reify is an AI-native LaTeX editor I built from scratch:

  • Project-aware assistant that can see your whole project, create files, refactor sections, and help with structure, not just single lines.

  • Auto-fix compile errors: when a build fails, the assistant opens right in the PDF tab, gets the error log, and works through the fixes.

  • Smart project wizard: describe what you’re writing (paper, thesis, CV, etc.) and what you need (figures, tables, bibliography, style), and it scaffolds a ready-to-write project for you.

Under the hood, Reify has native git-style history, cloud projects, and a custom compilation pipeline tuned for speed. It’s early and not perfect, but I’m shipping fast.

My goal with this launch is simple: make technical writing feel effortless for students, researchers, and engineers.

I’d love your feedback: what would Reify need to do for you to actually switch from your current LaTeX setup?

Great Idea 🚀. Can I just draw a table by hand and tell it to implement that?

@tommaso_mercadante yeah of course the agent implements gemini vision which means the agent can intelligently interpret any picture you send it it can also use nanobanana to generate new figures and can intelligently autodetect which figures are ready to be inserted into the document as is and which figures need to be generated to be made to look more professional. It can also handle notes and mixed contents. If you have any other needs let me know
