Most online redaction tools upload sensitive files to a server. RedactVault runs entirely in your browser, so documents stay on your device with no uploads or installs. It redacts PDFs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and images, and auto-detects PII like names, emails, and account numbers. It also blurs faces, supports search-and-redact across entire documents, and permanently removes data instead of just covering it. Try the live demo — no signup: redactvault.com/demo

A live demo of the auto-redaction on a messy doc would really sell it. Also, consider adding an option to export a redacted version as a flattened PDF only, with no editable layers, for situations where you want maximum certainty nothing can be recovered later.
@gizemezmj Thank you very much for your comment and suggestion. You can toggle flattened image PDF exports on in the Workspace settings in RedactVault.
Ran a couple PDFs through the demo and the auto-detect caught every email and account number without me fiddling with anything. The fact that nothing leaves my laptop is the real selling point.
@yaardeveciektr Thanks for your comment Yasar.
Runs completely in the browser is a huge plus for handling sensitive docs, and the auto-detect for emails and account numbers worked well on the sample I tested. Nice that nothing leaves your device.
@cananqxpo Great to hear it worked on your sample. Thanks for contributing.
Ran the demo on a PDF with a few names and emails and the auto-detection caught everything on the first pass. Liked that nothing leaves the browser, that part actually matters for this kind of tool.
@kriyec7mg Thank you Sukriye for your comment. Yes, keeping everything local plugs a serious security gap. We're happy how it worked out. Thanks for supporting the launch.
the browser-only angle is genuinely useful for legal work, especially when handling sealed filings. one thing that would make it stickier for me: add a side-by-side preview so i can see the original page and the redacted version at the same time before exporting. would save a lot of back-and-forth when double-checking nothing was missed.
@zcanuslusoiuah Thank you Ozcan for the suggestion. That will go straight into the backlog. Appreciate it.
