What's great

I am currently using RealEye as part of my master's research in Architecture and Urbanism, investigating how different landscape and environmental design characteristics influence visual attention and emotional responses. The platform has allowed me to conduct eye-tracking studies remotely with a level of accessibility and practicality that would have been very difficult to achieve using traditional laboratory-based methods.

What I appreciate most is how easy it is to set up studies, recruit participants, and collect high-quality visual attention data. The combination of eye-tracking and facial coding is especially valuable for researchers interested in understanding both what people look at and how they respond to what they see. For academic research, RealEye provides an excellent balance between scientific value, usability, and affordability.

What needs improvement

The facial coding feature is already a great addition to the platform. In the future, it could be interesting to include additional indicators such as emotional valence and a broader range of core emotions, further expanding its applications.

Overall, RealEye has been an excellent tool for my research, and I would gladly recommend it to other academics and professionals interested in understanding visual attention and human responses.

vs Alternatives

Before choosing RealEye, I considered using wearable eye-tracking devices. While these systems can provide valuable data, they often require in-person testing, specialized equipment, and can introduce additional discomfort or awareness for participants during the experiment.

RealEye offered a much more scalable and participant-friendly solution, allowing me to conduct my study remotely while maintaining a natural viewing experience. This was a major advantage for my research design.

I’ve been using RealEye in my academic research, and so far it’s been an outstanding experience. Here’s what I especially like: The results are impressively detailed and flexible (heatmaps, gaze/fixation plots, AOIs metrics and even attention/emotion analysis are all available. This level of granularity really helps me dig deeper into my data. The interface is also very intuitive, and setting up a study (with images, videos, mockups or live websites) is smooth and well guided. Data export is easy and clean, I can pull raw and aggregated data to run further analyses. What really stands out is the support team: prompt, friendly, and responsive. They’ve been understanding and helpful at every step. I also appreciate that they seem to genuinely value students and researchers, giving flexibility when needed. I’m excited to keep using RealEye as my thesis progresses, it’s helping me produce better, more insightful results. Highly recommended for anyone doing UX, marketing, or academic eye-tracking work.

I'm using RealEye for my academic research on visual attention and usability, and it’s been an excellent experience so far. The platform is intuitive, reliable, and provides powerful insights for eye-tracking analysis.
