Hey Product Hunt! ๐
I'm the maker of READR โ and I built it because I was genuinely fed up.
I spend a lot of time reading online. Research papers, long-form articles, newsletters. And every single one comes wrapped in the same nonsense: cookie banners, sidebar ads, autoplaying videos, popups asking me to subscribe before I've read a single sentence.
Chrome has a built-in reader mode. But it only works on some sites, and you can't customise it, and it definitely can't export a PDF. Firefox has a better one, but I'm a Chrome user.
So I built READR.
One click. Any site. Clean reading view.
It uses Mozilla's Readability engine (the same one Firefox uses) so it works on almost everything โ Medium, Substack, news sites, academic papers, random blogs.
You get:
โฆ Dark and light themes
โฆ Font size control
โฆ Adjustable line width
โฆ PDF export (Pro)
โฆ Auto-open on sites you choose (Pro)
Free to use. Pro is a one-time payment โ no subscription, ever.

I'd love your honest feedback. What sites does it work well on? Where does it break? What would make you actually use this every day?
