Can't decide where to go? Rancation deletes the decision. Pick nearby, your whole city, or draw any area on the map and roll: you get exactly one random place. No infinite lists, no ratings paralysis, no algorithm funneling everyone to the same 10 spots. Navigate in a tap, snap a photo to check in, and build a photo wall of corners you explored. No accounts, no feeds, no ads. For empty weekends, solo walks, or indecisive dates. $0.99 once, no subscription. iPhone only.

Hey Product Hunt π
I'm Wing, a solo indie developer, and Rancation started with one simple question: "Where should we go?"
You know the stuck moment: the map is open, the usual spots are right there, and nobody wants to pick. So I let a dice roll make the call β pick a range, get a place, and go. While building it, the range turned out to be the part that matters:
πΆ A 1β3km roll around you β a Citywalk with no plan
βοΈ A whole city, state, or region β a blind box for traveling somewhere new
π A wide area on a weekend β a drive to spots you'd never search for
How it works:
π² Pick how far you're willing to go β a 1/2/3km radius, or an entire city/state/region β then roll
π Get exactly one real place with coordinates, spread evenly across the area (not just the same downtown spots)
π§ Hand off to Apple or Google Maps to navigate there
β Check in when you arrive; history tracks visited vs. unvisited rolls and automatically skips spots you've already been
No account, no ratings, no feeds, no ads β and location data is never tied to your identity. Just you, your city, and a little serendipity.
**$0.99 once, no subscription. iPhone only.** I'll drop App Store promo codes in this thread for anyone who can't grab it today π
If you opened Rancation today β how far would you let it send you? π²πΊοΈ
