QRE Toolkit: a "Privacy Swiss Army Knife". QRE Toolkit is a secure, cross-platform application designed to handle your sensitive data without relying on the cloud. It runs natively on Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android. QRE Toolkit combines 9 essential privacy tools into one secure application: File Encryption, Password Vault, Secure Notes, Private Bookmarks, Secure Clipboard, Metadata Cleaner, Breach Check, Secure QR Generator, and Secure Shredder.

I'm Pashalis, and I built QRE Toolkit because I got tired of every privacy tool wanting my data in their cloud.
What it is:
A local-first privacy suite with 9 tools:
🔐 File encryption (unlimited size, Rust streaming engine)
🔑 Password vault (zero-knowledge, offline)
📝 Secure notes
🔖 Private bookmarks (never synced)
📋 Clipboard protection
🧹 Metadata cleaner (remove GPS from photos)
📡 Password breach checker
🔳 QR generator
🗑️ Secure shredder
Everything runs on your device. No accounts. No tracking. No cloud sync.
The tech:
Built with Rust (memory-safe crypto) + Tauri v2 (10MB installer, cross-platform). Uses AES-256-GCM + Argon2id—boring, proven cryptography—fully open source (MIT).
I'd love feedback on:
1. Which features would you actually use? (vs. which seems like bloat)
2. What's confusing or hard to understand?
3. What privacy tools are missing?
4. Any bugs? (especially on different OS versions)
Transparency:
- Solo project (updates might be slow)
- Not code-signed yet (working on it—certificates are $$!)
- No monetization plans (just wanted this to exist)
- Security researchers: please review the crypto implementation!

Happy to answer questions about design decisions, why I removed the quantum-resistant layer after Reddit feedback, or anything else!
Thanks for checking it out! 🙏
