Pretty sure this is the single coolest app I have ever seen.
Loosing my mind over here.
What do ambulances look like in 30 years when this is ubiquitous?
This + http://www.producthunt.com/posts... get me pretty excited about the things we can build.
@mackflavelle I think it's a great idea with a ton of potential. Unfortunately, just like the "Be My Eyes" app you linked above, building a successful two sided network model can be difficult. It's the whole chicken and egg problem that social startups face. I hope it picks up momentum over time so that both the people in need of assistance and the providers can thrive and thus drive growth.
@mackflavelle Ambulances like all of healthcare will become more specialized. Same as any other industry that has its basic foundational elements replace by tech.
They do extremely cool work. We've been really impressed with what they have done so far. Also impressive is the fact that the work is done part-time by workday engineers

@mackflavelle yes, very cool. As noted by Irving this is a good story but a hard to win on execution. Very similar to my experience at Parking Mobility and likely similar to SeeClickFix. You need user installs and adoption AND cities to buy. Huge chicken and egg problems.
My recommendation: get 2-4 municipalities up and running. Spend all your time their. Build your reference customers (cities are the customers, not the app users).
The winner team at PennApps made a similar project that teaches you CPR using a watch / helps you find the closest difib: http://challengepost.com/softwar...
It could be interesting to get saturation by using offices and schools. Remember the assigned fire drill official in your grade school? Offices have something similar in a lot of cases - someone who's assigned to crisis situations. Getting that person alone on board in enough buildings could saturate a city enough to bring the other side of the market onboard with "Hey, want your life saved some day? We have people ready."
