I’m Taka, the maker of Pulse.

I’d often report project or client hours a week or two late—and struggle to remember how long I’d actually spent on each piece of work. At the same time, useful decisions and lessons were disappearing into old AI sessions, forcing me or another agent to reconstruct the same context later.

Timers help until you forget to stop them. Calendar blocks rarely match reality. Background trackers capture activity, but often without understanding the work—and sometimes at the cost of privacy.

AI agents create a different opportunity.

Claude Code, Codex, and other agents already understand the project, files, tasks, decisions, and results while the work is happening. Pulse turns part of that temporary context into a durable data layer for both time and work memory. Through MCP, agents can:

Create structured, project-attributed time records
Capture meeting time and outcomes when connected to your calendar or meeting tools
Propose important decisions and lessons for you to approve
Retrieve saved context in future sessions

Pulse doesn’t require its own integrations with every tool. Your agent uses the connections and context it already has, then writes the resulting record to Pulse.

No screenshots, keystrokes, or background software are required. You can review, edit, re-attribute, delete, and export your data.

I use Pulse with Claude Code every day. The time record helps me understand where my effort went, while Work Memory helps me organize priorities and continue without rebuilding context from scratch. It helps less context, fewer tokens, better continuity.
