Puchica is a period tracking app that puts privacy first — all health data stays on your device, never uploaded to servers. It features a kawaii cycle companion with a personalized AI hormone coach to track moods, symptoms, and get personal predictions. Unlike most cycle apps, Puchica offers cosmetic features via a one-time lifetime purchase — no subscriptions. Integrates with Apple Health and includes an Apple Watch companion app.
I built Puchica because a friend wanted something simple, that was private and more easy to follow than apple health while keeping private and just relying in apple health for the data. She was frustrated with period apps that require creating accounts, uploading sensitive health data to the cloud, and locking features behind monthly subscriptions, even if information is used for studies, there should be simple apps. At the same time, I wanted to connect with apple foundation to profit from apple intelligence, trusting that if that improves the info and answers given will improve in the future and will make it easier to avoid more subscriptions, even if behind siri, it ends coming connect your llm subscription you will benefit from that.
