I’ve been building software professionally for over 15 years, and over the last two years AI coding agents have completely changed the way I work. But as more tools appeared— Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Copilot CLI and others—I realized my workflow was getting more fragmented, not less. I was constantly switching terminals, comparing outputs, managing multiple projects and trying to remember which agent had done what. The agents were becoming more capable every month, but there wasn’t a proper workspace designed around them. So we decided to build one. PromptOps doesn’t try to replace AI coding agents. It gives them a professional desktop workspace where they can be launched, orchestrated and monitored together. Whether you’re working with one agent or coordinating several at the same time, everything stays in one place. Over the past months the project evolved far beyond our original idea. We added multi-agent workflows, provider benchmarking, Git integration, session management, prompt libraries, enterprise licensing, GDPR tooling and AI Act readiness.
