PrivacyLog is a cloud log management platform for System Administrator accountability and privileged access monitoring. It collects and filters access logs from servers, workstations, firewalls, NAS, VMware and RFC-compatible devices, removing background noise and keeping only relevant, readable evidence. Designed to simplify compliance, audits and security monitoring across heterogeneous IT environments.
Hi Product Hunt!
We built PrivacyLog after seeing the same problem repeatedly in companies we work with: collecting logs is easy, but collecting the right logs and making them useful for compliance is much harder.
The Italian Data Protection Authority requires organizations to keep appropriate access logs for System Administrators. Traditional logging and SIEM platforms can collect enormous amounts of data, but that often means millions of events, high storage requirements and a lot of background noise.
PrivacyLog takes a different approach.
It collects events from Windows and Linux systems, databases, firewalls, NAS, routers, switches, VMware and other devices supporting standard RFC logging protocols. It then identifies the relevant events, filters unnecessary noise and presents logs in a form that can also be understood by people who are not security specialists.
PrivacyLog is not intended to replace a full SIEM. Its main goal is to make System Administrator logging, retention, verification and reporting simpler and more manageable.
We also developed PrivacyLog Extended for organizations that want to monitor additional security events beyond the compliance perimeter.
PrivacyLog is developed and supported in Italy by Systema Consulting.
We’d be very interested in feedback from sysadmins, DPOs, security professionals and MSPs. What is the hardest part of log management in your organization?
