I'm a working jazz and R&B musician (former ML eng), and I built the app that I always wanted.
Practice Room solves most of the tech issues, some of the organizational issues that I've always had.
Problems:
0. Annoying workflow downloading an mp3 for study, then stem splitting and dealing with a heavy DAW. Too many clicks to enable warp for all tracks on ableton so I can slow it down (And in logic, I forget half the time how to use varispeed). I need to do this many times a week so that's annoying
1. Switching between Ableton, Logic, google metronome, ireal pro (iphone), drum genius (iphone)
2. Organizational mess in finding ableton session files, remembering which beats I've been practicing over
3. Forgetting which licks/language I've been working on
4. Making charts for my band (I'm in the process of building out an automatic charting feature in Practice Room - form, chords, lyrics, melody)
