This is at the odd crossroads of weird, interesting, yet still extremely useful.
The interesting challenge would be if I sign up today, die after 60 years, and you guys aren’t around anymore to give my password to my loved ones.

The best way to think about tit the following - We're just like an insurance. You pay a yearly amount so your home insurance can cover any damage that occur over that period of time. You purchase a yearly subscription to Posterity so we can make sure your data is going to be here for your loved ones if something happens to you during that year.
Because there's no commitment from your end beyond one year, you're free to make other arrangements if we ever go out of business.

To be clear, loved ones won't get instant access, and that's by design. We must first be able to verify that somethings happened to the owner before their loved can access the data. We have a rigorous process that we describe here (posterity.life/how/death-verification/).
Once that verification is done, we can lift the level of encryption that we control, and from there, all your loved ones have to do is login to their account and all the information the owner left for them will be there.
