Hi Product Hunt! π
I built Poshkan because every trading simulator I tried made me feel like a genius β and that's a bug, not a feature. Ideal fills, no spread, backtests that peek at the future, deposits counted as "profit." Practice on flattering numbers and you learn exactly the wrong lesson.
So I built the simulator I wanted:
π Six strategy scanners (Smart Money Concepts, trend breakout, mean reversion, range trading, an ICT-style OTE engine, and an AI scanner) that watch your symbols around the clock and can paper-trade on their own inside risk limits you set β so you forward-test a strategy instead of trusting a backtest.
π Deliberately conservative math: backtests charge spread + slippage on every trade, replays never see unclosed bars, a bar that touches both stop and target counts as a loss, and returns are time-weighted so adding virtual cash never looks like skill. Every mechanic is published at poshkan.com/how-it-works.
π The AI scanner runs on your own Anthropic API key β I never bill you for AI, and every AI-proposed trade passes the same validation as any other signal.
It's completely free β no card, no broker connection, 100% virtual money. Works as a PWA on your phone.
I'd love your feedback, especially from anyone who trades: which scanner would you switch on first, and what would make the numbers more trustworthy? I'll be here all day answering everything. π

The honesty about charging spread and slippage in backtests is refreshing, most simulators hide that and give you fantasy returns. Real numbers actually build real traders.

@turanroenΒ Thanks β "fantasy returns" is exactly the failure mode I built against. Practice on flattering numbers and you train overconfidence, not skill; the honest number is the product.
Since you've been in the backtests: try the Compare scanners panel on a watchlist you actually follow β it runs all five strategies on the same symbols and ranks them by net R after costs. Curious which one came out ahead for you, and on which market. The results genuinely surprise people (sometimes they're all negative β which is the point).
