I’ve been using PocketBase for a few years. It is a really simple and powerful open-source realtime backend with built-in auth and file management. It’s such a breeze to launch new projects quickly plus it’s self-hosted so there's no vendor lock-in. That said, I kept repeating a lot of the same work on each project. While there are tons of boilerplates for Next.js and Supabase, options for PocketBase were pretty limited. So, I created PocketStarter to fill that gap. PocketStarter has all the essentials. Think protected pages, user accounts, Stripe, SEO and more. Would love to hear your feedback and thoughts!

I saw your post on r/GrowthHacking about your first sale, congrats on both the milestone and the launch!

Really like that it uses pocket base. The only thing is that it requires vertical scaling, but then if an app reaches a point that it requires some sort of scaling beyond 10k users, that's a good problem to have and it's not expensive to spin up other machines.

Good work!

@ash_grover Thank you so much! I completely agree. I’ve come to love working with PocketBase for most of my projects because it makes building new products and MVPs quick and straightforward, plus hosting is super easy. And as you said, scaling challenges with PocketBase only come up when things grow really big.
