Plinklink! is an endless stacking game for iOS. Tap to drop discs on a growing stack. Perfect timing = bonus points + confetti. Miss = lose a life. 3 lives, game over. Inspired by Stack and Stack Jump with cleaner visuals for longer play sessions. Features: - One tap controls, one hand gameplay - Perfect/Good/Normal/Miss grades - Progressive difficulty (faster, smaller targets, square discs) - Fever mode combos - Confetti + camera effects - Soft, easy-on-eyes visuals
Hey everyone! Solo dev here, thrilled to share Plinklink! with the Product Hunt community.
I built this because I was obsessed with stacking games but always felt they lacked depth. The "one more try" hook was there but the gameplay stayed the same. I wanted to fix that.
So I added progressive difficulty tiers. The game gets harder as you stack higher. Discs move faster, targets shrink, and eventually the shape changes entirely. Fever mode rewards you for chaining combos. Each run feels different because the challenge keeps escalating.
Everything is built from scratch with SceneKit + UIKit. No Unity, no Unreal, no game engine. The camera follows your stack upward which gives a real sense of height. The shake on impacts, the FOV kicks on perfect landings, the confetti bursts, all custom.
I am currently working on figuring out what makes a game truly replayable. That feeling where you close it and open it again 5 minutes later. If you have thoughts on what hooks you in casual games, I would genuinely love to hear them.
Happy to answer questions about the build, design decisions, or anything else. Thanks for checking it out!
AI usage note: I used AI tools for code completion during development. All game design, mechanics, and visual direction are my own.
