Pinpoint is a Chrome extension that lets you annotate any webpage and instantly create Linear tickets with full context. Click elements, drag areas, or select text — Pinpoint captures screenshots, DOM paths, and React component chains automatically. One click sends everything to Linear: screenshots embedded, metadata attached, ready for your team or AI agents to pick up. No account needed. Free. → 3 annotation modes → Screenshots per annotation → React tree + DOM selector detection → OAuth 2.0

Hey everyone 👋
I'm Iryna, and I built Pinpoint because I got tired of my own bug-reporting workflow.
Here's what it looked like before:
spot a bug → take a screenshot → open Linear → create a ticket → paste the screenshot (tired already? 😏) → try to describe where the bug is → realize the description is useless → go back to the page → copy the URL → add more context → finally submit.
Meanwhile, the actual fix would take 2 minutes.
I work with AI coding agents (Claude Code and pi mostly), and they're genuinely good — if you give them good context. But the bottleneck was always me. I was the slow part. The human copy-paste layer between "I see a bug" and "here's a ticket my agent can work with."
So I built Pinpoint to make that gap disappear. You click on the thing that's broken, it captures everything — screenshot, DOM path, React components, the works — and ships it to Linear. My AI agents pick it up from there via MCP.
It's not trying to be a full QA platform. It's a small, sharp tool for developers who want to stay in flow.
A few things I'm proud of:
- Zero backend. Everything runs client-side with OAuth PKCE.
- It actually understands React — it walks the fiber tree to find component names.
- Screenshots get uploaded to Linear directly.
It's completely free. I built it for myself first, and now I'm sharing it because I think other devs in the Linear + AI agent ecosystem might find it useful too.
Would love to hear how you handle the bug-to-ticket flow in your workflow — and happy to answer any questions about the build!
