Hey Product Hunt! π
I'm the solo developer behind PingPaid, and I built this because I was terrible at asking clients for money.
The problem
Last year I had $16K in outstanding invoices. Not because clients were bad people β they were busy, disorganized, or their own payments were delayed. But I was equally bad at following up. I'd draft an email, hesitate for 20 minutes, rewrite it to sound "less pushy," thenβ¦ sometimes never send it.
I'd tell myself: "They'll pay when they can." They often didn't. And every time I finally sent that "hey, just checking in" email, I felt like I was damaging the relationship.
Sound familiar?
What I built
I started with a simple idea: what if a system sent the follow-ups for me, escalating from friendly to firm, so I never had to be the bad guy?
That became PingPaid β an automated 8-stage email sequence that chases payments so you don't have to.
How it evolved
Stage 1 was just "send a reminder email." But I realized timing matters β sending on weekends feels aggressive, so I built compliance windows (weekdays, 9amβ8pm only).
Stage 3 added tracking β I wanted to know if clients were ignoring me or just busy. Real-time open/click tracking + bot detection (so Google Image Proxy doesn't fool you).
Stage 5 got AI β when clients reply, Groq classifies their intent ("I'll pay Friday" vs "I'm disputing this") and auto-pauses the sequence.
Stage 8 added SMS/WhatsApp and Stripe payment links β because sometimes email isn't enough.
The results so far
Beta users are recovering 15β20% more revenue on average. One agency owner told me PingPaid collected a $4,200 invoice that had been sitting for 90 days. The client paid 4 hours after Stage 4 sent.

What I need from you
I'm a solo builder, so honest feedback is oxygen. What sucks? What's confusing? What would make this a no-brainer for your invoices?
