1,000+ products launched in a single day on Product Hunt.
Just a few months ago, the high watermark was around 600.
That's not just a growth statistic it's a glimpse into what AI is doing for founders.
The distance between an idea and a working product has never been shorter. AI is helping individuals and small teams achieve in days what previously took months of development, design, content creation, and testing.
Hey Product Hunt! 🚀
A friend of mine was struggling to stay in contact with his kids during a difficult period. There was no simple way for him to communicate privately without handing over phone numbers or creating intrusive accounts—so we built one.
That experience made us realize there are countless real-world situations where people just need a simple, secure way to talk without tracking or barriers. So we kept building.
I’m Mark, and I’ve spent over 30 years engineering global telecom systems. I am incredibly proud of what we’ve built with Pigeon Link: a free, privacy-first communications suite that runs entirely in your browser on any device. No phone numbers, no downloads, no tracking.

@mark_trowbridge Congrats on the launch, Mark - your strong tech and Founder experience shows through!
One thing though: your opening includes domestic, dating, whistleblowing, privacy fatigue, which are all valid, but it dilutes to "privacy app." Your real differentiation [and ONE KEY problem you solve] is further down in the updates: communication that actually works when bandwidth collapses.
That's the disaster/humanitarian angle, and it's worth leading with. A doctor in rural Kenya doesn't need anonymity, they need calls that don't drop when lives are at stake. That's your ICP, and it's specific enough to move someone.
Also, the low-bandwidth resilience + zero infrastructure footprint has obvious tactical applications (military, disaster response coordination, denied environments). Might be worth mapping as a secondary ICP for post-launch, even if you don't lead with it. Different messaging, but it has real applications.
Your positioning covers a lot of ground, but the ONE thing you've actually cracked - communication that works when bandwidth dies - needs more of the spotlight.
@anna_ludwinowski Anna, many thanks for the comments, they are super cool and really valid.
Your observations are super keen and we will be all over this like a rash... but a little history as to why it's not in the launch focus....
So Pigeon Link started just 8 weeks ago to solve an issue of a parent being unable to call estranged kids! It literally started out as just calls and anonymity!
With that solved, we let the dev team Rip, and boy what a job they have done! Calls, Video, Messaging, Group Chat and Live rooms.
There are lots of solutions that offer similar services but Pigeon Links main USPs, Anonymity and Zero Data retention - this is a BIG deal in the world of telecoms and supports many, many user cases.
All good so far, and a growing user base outside of Product Hunt.
Multi-ID support and a few nice features were added , plus Mac, Windows, Linux and Android apps as well as the start of Enterprise Features.
Than a big feature was added, a real-time translator! This is a downloadable local device slm handling 59 languages, with others available as optional addons!
All the while our focus for Pigeon Link has been on Anonymity and Zero Data retention, but literally, just a few days ago, the team built some incredible features around low bandwidth.
The system will literally best guess missing words when there are data packets lost, and gives user feedback on connectivity strength and how much work it is doing to keep a full conversation.
They built a Walkie Talkie feature, which is truly amazing and only works between contacts who both agree... and as you have spotted the BIG one, the ability to self diagnose bandwidth and switch out to maintain call quality even on a 2G connection - so instead of expecting a reasonable connection, the system detects and works with whatever connection there is in real-time controlling the flow beautifully.
So you are spot on with the alternate markets, and they are big ones, and where Pigeon Link can do a lot of good - but we literally added this feature a few days ago, and it's not even hit the marketing roadmap yet!!!
Thank you! I love the fact you spotted it buried away...
@mark_trowbridge Ha, guess I jumped ahead! And that timeline makes total sense - the roadmap will catch up. Looking forward to seeing where you take Pigeon Link!
@anna_ludwinowski Thank you - we are already onboarding your comments, and looking at who we can reach out to in these fields

How do you handle identity and abuse prevention if anyone can open a link and jump in?
@naimz Hey Naim Cool Question - Response from our Pigeon Handbook:
How Pigeon Handles Identity and Abuse Prevention on Open Links
Balancing frictionless access (like clicking a link to instantly join a call) with strict security requires a localized defense-in-depth approach. Because Pigeon operates on a Zero-Knowledge architecture, we cannot use cloud servers to read your messages or monitor your calls for spam. Instead, we put enterprise-grade threat defense directly on your physical device.
Here is how we prevent abuse on open links:
1. One-Time Use & Ephemeral Links
When you generate a Guest Link, you have absolute control over its physics. You can set a strict expiration timer (e.g., 10 minutes or 1 hour). Furthermore, you can toggle the "One-Time Use" setting. The exact millisecond a guest clicks the link and the cryptographic handshake completes, the link is permanently consumed and eradicated from the cloud. It can never be used again, making link-sharing on public forums completely safe from mass spam.
2. The 'Silence Unknowns' Anti-Spam Router
For your permanent Pigeon ID, you have access to a network filter called Silence Unknowns. When enabled, your device will automatically and silently drop any incoming call or message from an ID that is not explicitly saved in your local address book. Your phone will not ring, and the spammer receives no feedback.
3. The Cryptographic Blackhole (Instant Blocking)
If a bad actor does manage to reach you via an open link, you can block them with a single tap. Pigeon’s Blackhole protocol instantly severs the WebRTC tunnel. More importantly, it locks their ephemeral ID into your device’s hardware enclave. Any future attempts by that user to ping your device are eradicated by your phone before the app even registers an incoming connection.
4. Verified Trust & Safety Reporting
While our servers cannot read your chats, you always have the power to report severe abuse. If someone harasses you via a link, you can trigger the Trust & Safety Uplink. This securely packages the locally decrypted message and the attacker's metadata, sending it to our Admin backend. This allows us to permanently ban malicious devices and IPs from the network without ever breaking global encryption rules.
5. No Public Directories to Scrape
Traditional spam relies on scraping phone numbers or user directories. Pigeon has no phone numbers, no required emails, and no public directory. Spammers cannot 'war-dial' random users. You are invisible on the network unless you explicitly hand someone your 3-word ID or a Guest Link."
@naimz Let me know your Three words you want by messaging me on I.Am.Kev from pigeonlink.host and ill give you your three words to have a play.
@naimz Thanks for your query - firstly just like with a phone number the abuser would need to know your ID.
It is possible to send naked links in Pigeon Link, that keep the ID hidden.
If the ID is known, then we have two options. You can block any ID or you can block every ID except those in your contacts.
We spent a lot of time working with women who were stalked and abused following a date and with teachers regarding children and bullying and the biggest takeaway is that when there is no phone number involved there is no other channel - so a simple block does the trick completely.
Simple idea, but incredibly useful. We share links every day and rarely think about the experience on the other side. What's the most common use case people are using Pigeon Link for today?
@harini_mukesh The original request still holds true, enabling a parent to chat with their kids without needing their other halves phone number!
But we are now seeing, first time dating, or selling valuable goods online where it is just dangerous to give out your phone number. Whistleblowing, or contacting a help line for help, where we simply want to remain anonymous, and of course some societies where oppression and communication are dangerous.
We are genuinely surprised everyday at the growing number of user cases, and that doesn't even touch on the fact some people are simply fed up with having their calls and messages held and scrutinized by others!

🚀 Update: Pigeon Link Voice AI: Calls That Work When the Internet Doesn't
Most communication apps assume everyone has fast, reliable internet.
Reality is very different.
Millions of people still experience dropped words, robotic voices, frozen conversations, and failed calls because of poor mobile coverage or congested networks.
We asked a simple question:
What if the app adapted to the network, instead of expecting the network to adapt to the app?
Today we're introducing one of the technologies powering Pigeon Link.
🧠 AI Packet Recovery
When networks become unstable, voice packets are often lost.
Normally, those missing packets simply disappear, leaving awkward gaps, broken sentences, or conversations that become impossible to follow.
Pigeon Link uses AI in real time to analyse the surrounding conversation, predict the missing speech, and seamlessly reconstruct what was lost before you even notice.
The result?
Conversations remain natural, even when the connection isn't.
📶 Built for the World's Worst Networks
Sometimes AI isn't enough.
When bandwidth drops to extremely low levels—think remote villages, overloaded mobile towers, disaster zones, or ageing 2G infrastructure—Pigeon Link automatically switches to an ultra-low-bandwidth communication mode.
This sophisticated local technology dramatically reduces the amount of data required while maintaining understandable, real-time conversations.
No user intervention.
No settings.
It just works.
🌍 Communication Shouldn't Depend on Geography
Whether you're:
• travelling internationally
• working offshore
• supporting humanitarian projects
• operating in rural communities
• living where connectivity isn't perfect
...you deserve communication that works.
Reliable communication shouldn't be a luxury reserved for people with fibre broadband and perfect 5G coverage.
Why We Built It
Pigeon Link isn't trying to make the best app for people with great internet.
We're building the best communication platform for everyone.
Fast networks.
Slow networks.
Crowded cities.
Remote villages.
Anywhere.
We'd Love Your Feedback ❤️
We're incredibly excited to share this technology with the Product Hunt community.
What would make a communication platform truly global in your eyes?

🐦 Introducing COO — Walkie Talkie Mode for the World's Lowest Bandwidth Networks
Most communication apps fail gracefully.
Pigeon Link was built to keep communicating.
While developing our AI Voice Recovery system, our engineering team asked a simple question:
The answer became COO.
A brand-new communication mode built directly into Pigeon Link.
🎙️ What is COO?
Think of it as a modern digital walkie talkie.
Instead of both people talking simultaneously, COO allows each person to speak, then pass the microphone to the other participant with a single tap.
This simple change dramatically reduces the bandwidth required while delivering remarkably clear voice communication.
Built for the Toughest Conditions
COO is designed for situations where traditional voice calls simply aren't practical.
• Rural communities
• Remote workers
• Disaster response
• Developing regions
• Weak mobile coverage
• Congested public networks
• Even legacy 2G-level connectivity
When bandwidth becomes extremely limited, COO keeps conversations flowing.
Why It Works
Traditional voice calls constantly send and receive audio in both directions.
COO only needs one direction of audio at a time.
That means:
✅ Less bandwidth
✅ Greater reliability
✅ Clearer speech
✅ Longer battery life
✅ Communication where other apps often fail
Combined with Pigeon Link's real-time AI Voice Recovery technology—which intelligently reconstructs missing speech caused by packet loss—COO becomes another layer in our mission to make communication available to everyone.
Our Vision
We don't believe reliable communication should depend on where you live or how good your internet connection happens to be.
Whether you're on fibre broadband, 5G, or barely holding onto a 2G signal...
Pigeon Link adapts.
Because everyone deserves to be heard.
We'd love to hear what the Product Hunt community thinks. Where would you use COO?
It’s rare to find an audio tool that actually plans for bad internet instead of just assuming everyone has a perfect connection. Stripping away the phone numbers, the downloads, and the tracking, and leaving just a clean, browser-based voice link is a brilliantly simple execution. Got my Vanity ID locked in.
We are adding an SLM payload so every Pigeon Link user can have optional device driven real time translation.
Zero cost and zero latency!
Status update from dev team: We have got the slm loading on device fine just aligning the translation race conditions once done this will set us apart. Its cutting edge stuff.
Do you think you would find this useful?
