I'd be curious re product thoughts about emulating existing APIs like the one of HipChat or Slack to benefit from existing integrations vs building out new concepts/specific APIs. IIRC HipChat took the route to emulate the Campfire API + also support their own API for HipChat specific functionality. I guess this can also backfire if everyone only integrates using the 'generic/emulated' API. #randomramblings

This is really interesting. I am not a fan of HipChat, which is what we have been using. Will check this out! It looks great.

This looks interesting but I can imagine it being hard to convince companies to implement it, since they already have other chat tools. I got the gist from your website that it's to replace Slack or Hipchat, so how do you plan to address that?
