Like Goodreads and The New York Times had a baby

Periodical is like Goodreads except for online articles (not books), and it looks and reads like The New York Times (by displaying your tracked articles as a newspaper). Explore the information of the modern web with the vibe of former days.

Hey Hunters! There is something deeply satisfying about 1) looking back at the progress you make and 2) drawing inspiration from the past. In a nutshell, this is my impetus for creating Periodical, a web app for tracking your progress of reading online articles with the vibe of the past. Periodical helps by: 1) Increasing your reading productivity by collecting and organizing web articles 2) Allowing you to track all the articles you have read (hence, allowing you to set yearly goals to measure your success) 3) Exposing you to new articles that friends are reading Periodical brings a vibe of the past by displaying your collected articles as a newspaper. In a word, it's like Goodreads for web articles with the vibe of The New York Times. If you enjoy the nostalgia of your grandpa reading the newspaper, but also love the perks of the web to explore a diversity of topics, then I hope the effort I've poured into this app will be a blessing to you.

This looks vey useful especially considering how at times I leave articles half read.

I use Magzter app to find articles of my interest from different magazines and newspaper. But it is time consuming to go through different sources to find information of my interest. Does Periodical solve this? If I select list of topics I am interested in, will I get articles to read on those topics from sources of my choice.

@cybertechie Great idea! I would like to make this more sophisticated, such as allowing you to source from RSS feeds and eventually auto-suggesting articles of interest as you mentioned. For now, it is basic functionality of organizing and tracking articles that you manually add.
