I built this because I kept talking to WooCommerce store owners who were losing a surprising amount of revenue not to cart abandonment — but to failed payments. A card gets declined at checkout (expired card, insufficient funds, 3DS hiccup, bank fraud filter), the order sits as "failed", and most stores never contact the customer again. Industry numbers say 5-10% of card payments fail, and only a fraction of those customers ever come back on their own.

PayRetry automates the recovery: a friendly reminder email 1 hour after the failure, then a firmer one at 24h, and at 72h an email with a small escalating discount coupon if the full price hasn't moved them. Each email contains a one-click retry link straight back to their checkout.

It's free for the core flow — the Pro add-on adds coupon escalation and a few extras.
