We built Paxchange because I was sitting in my dorm with sneakers I never wore and wanted a camera I couldn't afford. The obvious solution was to just find someone with the camera who wanted the sneakers but there was no clean way to do it.
Everything out there wanted me to sell for cash first, then go buy separately. Two transactions, two sets of fees, two moments where the deal could fall apart.
So we built the trade-first version. List what you have, find someone nearby with what you want, swap. Our AI scores whether the trade is fair so neither side feels like they got the short end.
We're launching tomorrow and I'm curious is "no cash, just trade" a concept that resonates with you? Or does removing money from the equation feel weird?
