Time flies—weeks pass, and before you know it, the year is over. I often found myself asking: What happened? Where did my time go? What did I actually do? This was a constant feeling I had while building my last startup, Mural (https://www.mural.co). I wanted to understand how I spent my time and what I could learn from it. That’s when I found journaling. It helped me think more creatively, spot patterns in my life, and reflect. But I struggled to keep the habit going. I was too busy, and it was hard to get real insights or turn those reflections into actions. I tried paper journaling, but the insights felt stuck in the pages. I tried journaling apps, but most were too complex and full of features I didn’t need. I wanted something simple that worked fast and focused on the basics. I realized there were three big problems with journaling: - It’s hard to build a habit. - It’s hard to find meaningful insights. - It’s hard to take action based on your reflections. That’s why I created Pausa. Pausa is a journaling app that solves these problems by: - Making it easy to journal—you can write from tools you already use, like email or WhatsApp, or use a simple, uncluttered app. - Providing clear insights—AI helps you find patterns and learn from your entries. - Helping you take action—it suggests practical steps based on your reflections.
