Hey everyone 👋 I run PacksMC, a site for Minecraft texture packs. The thing that always bugged me: a creator makes one great pack, but Minecraft has dozens of versions and a pack built for one will straight up fail to load on another. So creators either re-export everything by hand for every version (painful) or just don't bother, and players download something that breaks the second they open the game. We fixed the boring part. A creator uploads their pack once, we auto-convert it to every Minecraft version, generate the preview screenshots, and publish it. They do the creative work, we handle the grunt work. Right now about 300k+ people a month use it to find packs that actually run on their version. The auto-convert pipeline is the part I'm most proud of because it took way longer than I'd like to admit to get the format conversions right across versions and still improving it every day.
