Oyster Bot is a lightweight Telegram bot that wraps the Claude Code CLI, letting you chat with Claude from your phone. It’s a simple bridge between Claude Code and chat — easy to understand, easy to lock down, and easy to extend with small plugins and minimal configuration.
Like a lot of folks, I was impressed by Clawd Bot (/Moltbot/openclaw), but it felt a bit heavy-handed for what I wanted and raised some security concerns. I ended up building a very small Telegram bot that wraps the Claude Code CLI so I can talk to Claude from my phone. It keeps session context, stays easy to lock down, and supports simple plugins for custom commands or scheduled tasks. Lightweight and straightforward to set up.
