Because some things were meant to be, the Overkill die is back on Kickstarter — now in red and black, along with other, cool custom dice! As for the Overkill, it functions as both a joke die, smile therapy to those in the know, and has practical uses, too.

As a game designer, I'm very fond of dice and started making custom dice both for general use in roleplaying games and for use in my board games designs. When I came up with the Overkill, I had no idea how cool it really was. I started coming up with all kinds of fun uses for it, but if you know what a 20 means in RPGs, then if nothing else, just rolling it will bring a smile again and again! With your help, I can share those cool dice and others I've made with the world!

I am currently in the middle of playtesting a game that uses one of the dice, and have another in the works that does as well.
The blue die is called a Sky Ark and was made in celebration of my long-running campaign setting: Toonaria, which is also the backdrop of all of my board games and more light-hearted stories. Toonaria features adorable little monsters, advanced technology, magic and floating islands.
The yellow die facing off with the "iron nemesis", one of my many monsters, is called a Stargate D20 and was inspired by my long-running campaign setting: Cosmoverse, and Cosmothea Roleplaying Game, which itself was originally called Stargate before I changed it when the first Stargate movie appeared and stole its thunder. I made the Stargate D20 in celebration of 40 years of my Cosmoverse, which is the backdrop of all of my current novels.
