OtherATC helps plane spotters discover curated aircraft collections, track spotting progress, and use airport intelligence to plan their next catch.

Congrats on the launch! Honestly didn't know plane spotting was a thing until today — and now I'm seriously thinking about it, so I might become your user sooner than expected 😄 The site looks really cool, love the design. Question: what's the coolest plane you've personally caught for your collection so far? Good luck today!
@alex_tomilin Hi Alex! Thank you for the kind words 🙂
I think one should expect from me to be proud of some Antonov's aircraft catch, but mine is Airbus A340. Not easy to catch, once dominated the market... A great story behind this one 🤓
@ivli Got it — sounds really cool! Would be glad to see that photo (and the story behind it) someday 🙂 Good luck with the rest of the launch!
The runway list view is really well thought out, especially how it groups catches by airline tail colors so you can scan for patterns at a glance. Whoever designed that clearly spent time around actual spotters.
@metehanzgg5 Hi Metehan! Thank you for your feedback!
I originally built the product for myself—to replace Google Sheets and endless FR24 doomscrolling 😁
So yes, I put a lot of thought into making it as convenient as possible.
Would love a built-in alert that notifies me when a specific tail number I am tracking is scheduled into a nearby airport. Right now I have to check manually, and I keep missing catches because flight times shift last minute.
@aynur1896015 Thank you Aynur! That's a really nice idea and I will think of how we could implement it reliably!
One thing that would make this way more useful for me is a heads-up feature that pushes a notification when a rare bird is scheduled into a nearby airport, since timing is everything when chasing specific tails.
@tansut69872 Hi Tanzu! Thank you for this feedback! That could be a really nice feature!
How do you think:
does it have to be some real-time thing (like the aircraft is approaching and you just need to get ready
or
like "due to patterns we see and data, that we have, we expect tail number X to arrive tomorrow" ?
Because those options seems to be both valuable, but I wouldn't know where to start.
