Security & compliance
EC2 patching: Integrates with AWS Systems Manager Patch Manager. We propose patch baselines & maintenance windows, run AWS-RunPatchBaseline, and record a signed audit trail. You approve (or set auto-approve by risk).
Hardening/guardrails: Enforce IMDSv2, CIS checks, SG/IAM reviews, plus runtime health gates before promotion.
EBS encryption: Encryption-by-default with your KMS; block unencrypted creates and flag existing unencrypted volumes. For legacy, we propose snapshot → encrypted copy → swap during a maintenance window, with rollback if any check fails. Everything is propose-first with approvals.
Backend / storing data on self-managed clouds
Your infra data: Keep Terraform state in Terraform Cloud or your own S3/GCS/Azure backend—OrbOps reads via agents and doesn’t take ownership.
Platform data: Region pinning, export audits/logs to your SIEM (Splunk/Datadog/Elastic), and self-host/VPC deployment so data stays within your boundary. Secrets via Vault / AWS SM / GCP SM / Azure KV.
