The same ride can sometimes have a pretty big price difference between apps — and most of us simply book the one we usually use without checking. So we made OptiRide: one place to compare multiple ride-hailing services and find the best price (and pickup time) for your ride. Do you actually compare ride-hailing prices before booking?

We re building OptiRide, a tool that compares ride-hailing prices across Uber, Bolt, Heetch and other services before you book.

One thing we ve noticed is that people often stick to the same app out of habit, even when another service can be significantly cheaper for the exact same ride.

For people who regularly use ride-hailing apps: do you actually compare prices before booking, or do you usually just open your go-to app? And what would make you change that habit?

Do you actually compare ride-hailing prices before booking?

I ve noticed something interesting with ride-hailing apps: most people seem to have a default app and just book through it, even when another service might be cheaper.

Uber, Bolt, Heetch, Free Now, etc. can have very different prices for the exact same trip, depending on the time and demand.

We re building OptiRide around a simple idea: compare the available options first, then book through the service you choose.
