Meet AI Shoptimizer: Shopify store optimization for AI Search. We focus on the two inputs that matter most: llms.txt + product descriptions that answer buyer questions. And the best part is that you can run it in two clicks: one to optimize llms.txt and one to optimize your entire product catalog. I built the app with ease-of-use in mind, store owners can set their tone of voice, include or exclude keywords and have the product descriptions fit well with their store's brand.
In the summer of 2025 I started to understand how AI Search is changing how people find information and products online. This wasn’t hypothetical: we’re already seeing classic SEO sources make room for AI-driven traffic.
Here’s what I learned (and built around):
🔎 AI Search is slightly different from SEO
People ask chatbots questions, and products show up when the content answers those questions well.
✅ Checkpoint #1: /llms.txt
A simple first step to help AI systems understand what your store is about and where to look for answers.
🛍️ Checkpoint #2: product descriptions that answer real questions
If you can predict what someone will ask a chatbot, you can embed those answers naturally in the description (without turning it into an FAQ).
The problem: doing this manually doesn’t scale.
🧠 Figuring out which queries matter takes time
✍️ Rewriting every description takes even more time
📦 And if you have 100+ products… it becomes a project, not a task
That’s why I built AI Shoptimizer: a Shopify app that does this work for you, while keeping you in control, you can either use the:
🚀 1-click mode: analyze → optimize → publish to Shopify
👀 review mode: check and tweak results before publishing
I hope it’s as useful for store owners as it was fun (and slightly obsessive) to build. I am excited to hear your feedback!
