Love seeing products like this! Reminds me of something that a Stanford Professor said: "Sometimes the things that make the biggest impact aren't at the cutting edge of science, they're working to fix the broken systems that already exist." So much of infrastructure for healthtech data is so deeply broken, nontransparent, and simply hasn't kept up with the pace of all of our other technological advancements. There's no reason something as deeply personal as our health should be gatekept by outdated systems while we've spent decades over-optimizing ads infrastructure. Some questions: 1) Are eligibility checks automated in any way? Is it possible to see when a patient becomes ineligible automatically? 2) Is there a portal for patients to see how much they're being charged for certain operations compared to the average cost of that operation? Either way, really excited to see you guys grow and develop! This platform really has the potential to do a lot of good and I'm here for it !!

Congrats on the launch! Curious to learn about how you perform the eligibility checks? I assume most insurance carriers don't have developer friendly APIs. Are there insurance aggregators out there, or did it require you working with the top x insurance carriers?

@klein_ochoggia Totally. We've found that telehealth companies want to qualify patients as quickly as possible. For example, if the patient clicks an Instagram ad for a telehealth service, the telehealth company wants to figure out if the patient has active, in-network insurance right away. Opkit helps a lot with this. We don't have any plans to expand outside of the US. :(
