Hey Product Hunt! I’m Timothy, the maker of Openbroca.
I used to be a loyal Typeless user and a genuine fan. Until brain-computer interfaces show up, I’m convinced voice is the best input method we have.
But over time, tools like Typeless and Superwhisper started to feel too heavy for me. I don’t need a flashy interface or a dashboard full of stats. I want a tiny tool that lives quietly on my Mac, the way Shottr does for screenshots: always there, never in the way.
So I built Openbroca. In my daily use, the results are on par with Typeless, and I think sometimes better. Many tools clean up too aggressively. Openbroca drops the “um”s and false starts but keeps the “probably” and the “I think,” so the text still says what I meant, in my own tone. No prompts to tweak.
Now it lives quietly on my Mac, just like I wanted. I’ve been using it for a long time now, and it works so well for me that I want to share it with you.
Small by design: about 6.5 MB, native Swift, no Dock icon. Press ⌥ Space, talk, and clean text lands at your cursor.
Your vocabulary: add names and technical terms, or let the dictionary learn from your corrections. You can import your Typeless dictionary too.

What impresses me most about this product is its minimalist design. As a next-generation essential utility, it simply stays out of your way while meeting all your needs. At the same time, it gets the fundamentals right: speed and recognition accuracy.
Typing feels incredibly fast, and the intelligent text optimization is genuinely impressive. It just gets what you’re trying to say.
