Thank you, PH — what would make voice typing fit your daily workflow?

Hey Product Hunt! 👋

I’m the maker of Openbroca, and I wanted to say thank you to PH for giving independent makers a place to share what we’re building—and to everyone who has taken a moment to check it out.

The idea behind Openbroca is simple: make it easier to turn your thoughts into writing. Speak naturally, get clear text in the app you’re using, and keep your own voice along the way.

That last part matters a lot to me. When we speak, we pause, repeat ourselves, and change our minds halfway through a sentence. My goal is to clean up those rough edges while preserving what you meant and how you wanted to say it.

I’m building Openbroca as a lightweight, native Mac app with that everyday experience in mind.

If you’ve tried it, I’d love to hear where it helped and where it got in your way. Did it misunderstand a name? Did the cleanup change your tone? Was anything confusing or slower than you expected? A specific example would help me understand what to improve.

And even if you haven’t used Openbroca, I’m curious: which writing tasks do you already use voice input for, and which do you still prefer typing? What makes the difference?

Thanks for being part of the journey. I hope you enjoy using Openbroca and that it makes your everyday writing a little easier. 🙂
