The traditional approach you described is indeed a pain, which is why, as a UX/UI designer, I’ve adopted the same high-fidelity, prototype-first workflow you mentioned — using tools like Webflow and React, and teaching designers to code simple logic and fetch real data.
Hopefully, this age of AI will bring real progress in this field!
