(Also, are you syndicating your content across Tumblr, Pinterest, FB etc, and reaching out to relevant influencers on those platforms to encourage distribution/backlinks?)

@clemnt It's super easy, and will *drastically* increase your distribution. Find an intern who wants to learn about content marketing, or get a VA from oDesk and build a system around it so that everytime you post content, it gets distributed across the web by those with established communities, rather than attempting to build an audience from scratch. (If you get a spacey-one pager, I'd be happy to push it on my spacey-blog 'Cozy Dark' which has 150k followers... always looking for good content.)

@ReubenMetcalfe awesome advice! will also share it with my teams @efounders!

@clemnt looks awesome! One quick note: why don't you have a call to action to subscribe at the top of the page? You are going to miss out on a lot of subscribers :) Have something like "Get industry research delivered right to your inbox, for free" [Enter your email] up top! Just an idea...

@clemnt - nice work! If you're looking to plug in specific feeds from Gigaom, we've segmented out our news & research into thousands of subtopics. http://search.gigaom.com/technol... http://search.gigaom.com/technol... http://search.gigaom.com/tag/mar... You can use the filters on the left sidebar to narrow your search even further. RSS feeds can be created by each of these by adding /feed to the end of the URL as in: http://search.gigaom.com/technol...

@iankennedy this is brilliant, thanks for sharing

@iankennedy sorry for the late reply, just saw the PH notification email in my promotion tab on gmail. Gigaom is definitely a great source of info, already added your stream on the Security Software onepager. Will add the other feeds as well. Thks a lot!

@clemnt Cool! Thanks.

This resonates well with me. I research sectors, markets and industries on a daily basis and have been dreaming about something that would make the whole process more efficient and less time consuming. The solution I had in mind looked more like Google Public Data Exporter (https://www.google.co.uk/publicd...) or a Duedil for publicly available data, but Onepagers could well get there from a different angle. Curation vs aggregation. Would be interesting to see how this develops.

@yanroux thks Yannick! feel free to ask me anything if needed! Appreciate the comment and upvote.

Interesting... I assume you'll shift to an ad-supported model eventually? Re: Opening mind-maps, you might consider taking a look at what Pearltrees have done re: collaborative visual categorization.
clement vouillon
@ReubenMetcalfe don't assume it :-) 1- I have a job so my business model is here 2- I hate ads 3- I know pearltrees (they are french like me). I love the team, the product I have to admit a bit less. I haven't thought about BM at all to be honest (it's just a side project, not the next Gartner) but if I had to think about it I think a "marketplaced" Gartner would be something interesting.
Reuben Metcalfe
@clemnt I feel the same way about the Pearltrees team/product - but the permissions methodology makes sense to me re: collaboration... as for business model, perhaps companies could pay for you to create new one-pagers? Or you could make one a week, and people could crowd-fund the ones they want to see happen? (The most funded one-pager goes to the top of the production list, etc)
clement vouillon
@ReubenMetcalfe great ideas! What I was thinking of: 1- having "branches" for each onepagers. Each "branch" being a version managed by a particular analysts. Companies could follow and pay the analysts they prefer (a GitHub X Gartner) 2- companies pay for "early access": you need to pay to get the new resources / new analysis before the public version 3- analysis / articles could be produced specifically for each one pagers by analysts and sold to companies (monthly subscription) etc...

@clemnt This is brilliant! Subscribed! Long back, I started a project to give visual overviews- www.doodl.it. I eventually wanted to cover tech trends/ insights but sadly, never got there. So i am really excited. With so much information, I think this approach is much needed :)
