Over the past 5 years, I’ve seen countless ways companies manage staff leave. Including spreadsheets, clunky HR tools, overly complicated systems, and software that’s simply too expensive for small teams.
That’s why I built Off The Clock.
I wanted to create a leave management platform that’s modern, flexible, and genuinely simple to use, especially for small businesses, although it scales well for larger teams too.
A huge focus was simplicity. For example, employees can book leave from the dashboard in as little as 2 clicks, while managers instantly see overlapping absences and team availability when reviewing requests.
Flexibility was just as important. Off The Clock can automatically add public holidays for companies across 50+ countries, assign different holiday calendars per employee, and even let users reclaim public holidays as additional leave allowance to use another time.
The goal is to make leave management feel effortless. Clean design, minimal friction, and enough flexibility to support modern teams without becoming bloated or confusing.
